Here are some photos Martin took from the Harbour Bridge as he walked into
the city the night the Olympic torch arrived in central Sydney.

The first one shows the Opera House - you can see that there
are lots of boats around, many more than normal. You might just be able to
make out all the helicopters circling round the harbour. Click on the
small picture to see the full-size one. |

The second photo shows the view across Circular Quay. You
probably can't see the hundreds of thousands of people cramming every
spare inch of space, waiting for the torch to arrive. However, you
probably can see the huge cruise liner which was docked in Circular Quay
for the whole Olympics period. It housed all the IBM staff who were
working on the Olympics. |
